Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about the biggest challenge he has faced since joining Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo made the move to the Saudi Arabian league in late 2022 after a falling out with the management at Manchester United.
Since joining Al-Nassr, the Portuguese international, widely regarded as the king of European football, has made a significant impact with 14 goals and 2 assists for his new club.
During an interview with Saudi Pro League media, the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner was asked about the difficulties he has encountered in his new environment. Ronaldo highlighted that adapting to the altered training schedules has been his most significant adjustment.
Comparing the training routines in Europe to those in Saudi Arabia, he emphasized the unconventional timings as a major challenge he had to overcome.
In his words;
“There are difficult parts, but it is the same in Europe, but maybe in Europe we used to train in the morning and here we train in the afternoon or in the evening and when Ramadan starts we train at ten in the evening, it is very strange”.
