For the past several weeks, an anonymous source has been leaking tons of naked and topless celebrity photos including a couple with Meagan Good
. The topless photos were taken of the “Stomp The Yard” actress when she was FaceTiming with her husband, DeVon Franklin, who is a Seventh-day Adventist preacher. In addition to having her privacy violated, Good was forced to endure criticism for what some considered behavior unbecoming of a preacher’s wife. Good responded to the critics and said there was nothing wrong with the private moments were between her and her husband.
SHEREE FLETCHER
Sheree Fletcher made her foray into reality TV by appearing on “Hollywood Exes.” Fletcher, who was married to megastar Will Smith before remarrying ex-NFL player turned pastor Terrell Fletcher, has admitted that she understands why people looked at her sideways. “There are some saved folk that don’t think church and show business go together in any way, shape or form,” she said in an interview. “You have to respect people’s opinions, but I refuse to live my life letting other people put me in a box.”
KELLY ROWLAND
Kelly Rowland’s career stalled out a bit after Beyonce decided to leave Destiny’s Child and pursue a solo career. Rowland worked on her own solo career and she decided to try her hand at gospel by recording the song “You Will Win” for the compilation album “Spirits Rising.” After going back to her R&B roots, Rowland has been criticized for using sex to sell her music. “I’m not trying to sell sex,” she said in an interview. “I’m just completely being myself. I don’t let nobody dictate who I am. I did that for way too long that I don’t care about those people no more. I really don’t.”
ERICA CAMPBELL
After singing with her sister as part of the gospel duo Mary Mary, earlier this year Erica Campbell announced that she was planning on releasing a solo album. But instead of congratulations or words of encouragement or excitement, Campbell was met with criticism because of a promotional photo. In it, Campbell was decked out in a tight, all white dress that hugged every curve. “This is about confidence and realizing that God made you and that you are beautiful just the way you are,” the gospel singer said in defense. “I think that young girls shouldn’t only get sexy images from people who are not proclaiming Jesus. But I am. And I’m cute too.”
SHERRI SHEPHERD
For seven years, Sherri Shepherd has held court each weekday morning as one of the co-hosts on “The View.” Shepherd, who is a devout Christian, has shared her own views about God and how important her religion played in her life numerous times. After marrying her second husband Lamar Sally, the comedian/actress has spoken up about their sex life, which was met with criticism. For her part, Shepherd shook off the comments and continued to speak her mind every morning
until she was let go of “The View.”
TYLER PERRY
Tyler Perry’s plays, movies and television shows have been so successful because its underlying religious themes have resonated within the Black community. But his fans may be looking at him with a side eye after it was revealed that he is expecting a baby with girlfriend Gelila Bekele. The filmmaker has been in an on-again, off-again relationship for five years with the 28-year-old model who is reportedly seven months pregnant, implying sex out of wedlock.

Before he was a man of the cloth, Murda Mase was a rapper. He dropped the “Murda” from his name and signed with Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Bad Boy label, but the Harlem rapper couldn’t ignore the calling from God. He left a promising rap career for the pulpit but five years later, he was back to rapping, this time with a cleaner image. But when that didn’t take off, he went back to preaching full time. Mase returned to music once again but his image was no longer clean. The “Feel So Good” rapper announced over the summer that he was leaving his flock. He also filed for divorce from his wife.
LOLO JONES
Lolo Jones has made a name for herself on the track and field as one of the fastest hurdle runners. Jones, who is a devout Christian and prays before each meet, often discusses her faith on her twitter page but she caught a lot of flack back in 2009 for posing nude as part of “ESPN The Magazine’s” body issue. Jones endured the criticism and held on to her faith. She is also a virgin and is committed to saving herself for marriage.
PERRI “PEBBLES” REID
Perri “Pebbles” Reid helped to shape and mold three young aspiring artists to become the biggest girl group on the planet. Although she turned TLC into stars virtually overnight, there was bad blood between the parties after they had accused Pebbles and their record label of robbing them blind through shady contracts. Even though she was about her money, Pebbles underwent a religious conversion, founded the Women of God Changing Lives (WOGCL) Ministries and started going by the name Sister Perri.
BISHOP EDDIE LONG
When Bishop Eddie Long joined the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church as the newest pastor in 1987, there were just 300 in the congregation. Now there are more than 25,000 but his flock was shocked a few years ago when allegations of an improper relationship between their beloved pastor and several young men. Then the lawsuits started coming in. Bishop Long denied the allegations through his lawyer but six months later, the lawsuits were settled out of court.
KRIS JENNER
Kim Kardashian became famous for a sex tape because her mother Kris Jenner was behind closed doors using her daughter’s sudden popularity to finagle a reality show for the entire family. As Kardashian’s star power grew and she started traveling the world, her momanger was right by her side. Many have accused Jenner of being the ultimate puppet master who sold her morals and values in exchange for fame and wealth. But shockingly enough, Jenner revealed that she was a woman of the cloth. I’m actually an ordained minister,” she said. “I knew it might come in handy one day but I’m not sure where Kim will want me on the day.”
KEVIN TERRY
Gospel singer Kevin Terry is used to singing about the Lord but last fall he was calling on God to get him though a very embarrassing incident. A video surfaced of Terry allegedly engaging in oral sex with another man. Terry had no choice but to address the tape after it went viral and he took to his Facebook page to post a statement. He neither confirmed nor denied whether or not that was him in the videotape but he did talk about his character being attacked. Interestingly enough, his friend Lil Mo took to twitter to confirm that was him in the tape.
PHAEDRA PARKS
Producers brought in Kenya Moore to spice up the fifth season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and she did not disappoint. The former Miss USA winner has gotten into it with several other castmates including Phaedra Parks. Tensions between the two grew even worse when Parks suspected that Moore was trying to engage in an inappropriate relationship with her husband. During last season’s reunion, Parks poked fun of Moore’s inability to conceive saying she had scrambled eggs. Moore shot back that Parks had hit way below the belt, calling her comment un-Christian-like.
