She is known for her roles as Yvette in “Baby Boy,” Shug in “Hustle & Flow,” and Queenie in 2008’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She is known on the small screen for her role on the CBS series “Person of Interest”. She is currently starring in the FOX television series Empire.
