7) Andre Villas-Boas – £6.2-million
It is fair to say that Andre Villas-Boas has not struggled to get over his dismissal by Tottenham. The Portuguese manager has been rebuilding his reputation as one of Europe’s bright young managers in Russia. Villas-Boas won his first six matches in charge of Zenit Saint Petersburg, but this was not enough to win them the Russian Premier League title. His basic wage of £6.2-million per year is supplemented by a number of bonuses depending on the team’s performance.
