Daughter of late businessman and former Saints’ owner Markus Liebherr, she inherited his fortune after his untimely 2010 death. Katharina showed little interest in becoming involved in the club until this season. Her involvement ultimately led to the departure of Nicola Cortese, the man Markus had entrusted to run the club as chairman.
