3. Dolly Parton
69-year-old country music legend and businesswoman Dolly Parton is not afraid to speak about the many enhancements she’s had over the years. She began her career as a child performer, recording a few singles at the age of 13, until finding her first commercial success in Nashville at the age of 18. She subsequently became – and remains – the most honored female country performer of all time.
She achieved 25 RIAA certified gold, platinum, and multi-platinum awards, and has had 25 songs reach No. 1 on the Billboard Country charts, which is a record for a female artist. She has a whopping 41 career top 10 country albums (also a record), and has 110 career charted singles from her 50-year career. She also has eight Grammies, and two Academy Award nominations.
Parton has admitted that her well-known image is due to plastic surgery. When Oprah Winfrey asked her on a 2003 broadcast what kind of cosmetic surgery she’d undergone, Parton joked that, “If I have one more facelift, I’ll have a beard!” She’s also stated that, “If I see something sagging, bagging, and dragging, I’m going to nip it, suck it, and tuck it.” And, “It takes a lot of money to look this cheap.”
