Chaz Bono was one of the first celebrities to come out as trans. The former daughter of Sonny Bono and Cher had formerly been identified as a lesbian. However, Chaz came out in 2008 as a trans man and started transitioning. Bono was the subject of a documentary for the Oprah Winfrey Network, OWN, called “Becoming Chaz.”
