Rich or poor have gone down a dark path. Although, the more money you have, the more you can afford. Therefore, it seems that the wealthy youth always seem to get themselves into bigger trouble than those who have limited funds at their disposal.

Then we have children born into money and celebrity status. This nuclear combination leads to all kinds of problems for underage kids under the fame umbrella. Some of these young celebrities have done nothing to earn their celebrity status, however, because they are connected to fame, they become celebrity de-facto and enjoy all the spoils that come along with it. And in many cases, their parents are traveling and enjoying their own celebrity lifestyle, so it leaves these wealthy young kids to do as they please. Haley Joel Osment burst into stardom with the line, “I see dead people.” He was the young star of M. Night Shyamalan’s one good movie, The Sixth Sense . Osment blew up shortly after The Sixth Sense came out and he even got nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

He continued on with his success and in 2006, it all caught up to him when the 18-year-old got into a single car accident. His blood alcohol level was measured at .16 and he had marijuana on him. He attended mandatory Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and entered an alcohol-rehabilitation program. So far so good as the actor has enjoyed a steady career ever since.

Both Jenner girls have been accused of underage drinking (which neither deny) and excessive drug use featuring cocaine and prescription pills such as Xanax. Local residents submitted complaints over the excessive out-of-control behavior. According to a report, “it also looks like Kylie’s rumored boyfriend, Tyga, is a bad influence on her. The alleged source says that Kylie often smokes marijuana with her 25-year-old boyfriend. They also pop a large number of drugs, including the popular Molly and Ecstasy.” It should come as no surprise as Kylie’s parents have seemingly been spread thin over the years worrying about their own circumstances and the family business. With Kris Jenner managing Kim’s career among other endeavors and Caitlyn(formerly Bruce) Jenner going through his transformation on live television, I think this behavior is no surprise. The son of famed slurring singer Ozzy Osbourne, has gone through the ringer when it comes to drug and alcohol abuse. At the tender age of 13, Jack was hitting bars and drinking people under the table. He stated, “I could remember being 13 and at a bar and people were like, ‘What’s this 13-year-old doing here?’ and I would proceed to drink them under the table,” he told MTV. “I thought that if I really wanted to fit in I had to show them that, I was, in a way, just as adult as they were, ‘because I could hold my own just as well as they could, if not better.” Starting young, the issues didn’t get any better when in 2002, his mother, Sharon, was diagnosed with colon cancer. With the family front-and-center on a reality TV show, the pressures of being in the spotlight and the drama with his mother became too much. Jack smoked pot and drank every day for 2 years and started taking Vicodin by the handful. But that wasn’t all. He started guzzling a variety of prescription pills until he entered rehab at age 17.

8. Kelly Osbourne – Vicodin Addiction At 13 Jack wasn’t the only offspring of Ozzy’s to get addicted to drugs and alcohol at a young age. Kelly blames some of the roots of her addiction on taking liquid Vicodin as a 13-year-old when she had her tonsils taken out. She began clubbing at age 16 and started to get hooked on the pill form of Vicodin. From there, she was off and running. She was taking upwards of 50 a day tossing more than six down at a time. It took multiple trips to rehab and then a stay at a psychiatric ward to get Kelly’s addictions under control. Although she cites her issues with addiction back to her tonsils getting taken out, having a rock star father chase you and your friends around in his underwear while drunk is a rough way to grow up. Kelly was also exposed to other rockers when their father was doing shows. She recalls when Motley Crue babysat her and her brother. Certainly, the Osbournes could have benefited from Care.com.

I know I took matters into my own hands and was creating drama in a very dangerous way.” Nicole used to create chaos with her partner in crime Paris Hilton back in the day. At age 21, Nicole was busted for possession of heroin and was checked into rehab. Rehab may have cured the heroin, but Nicole was seen numerous times partying with Hilton over the years. One wonders if rehab took or not.
