David Beckham became the center of controversy when in 2004 his personal assistant (at least it wasn’t the nanny) revealed to the world that she had been carrying on a four month passionate affair with Beckham while he was playing soccer for Real Madrid. Beckham, arguably the world’s hottest soccer player, denied the allegations and his wife, Victoria Beckham stood vehemently by his side, even using the press to engage in a little mean girl name calling. The couple relocated to Los Angeles for a time to escape the never ending scandal in their home country of England. Amazingly, the Beckhams, among several affair allegations over the years (all directed at David) are still married today.
