After all, gossip magazines and blogs have a tendency to exaggerate certain stories in order to make them more sensational. And for the most part, many of the stories that you hear about your favorite famous people are filled with enough drama on their own, and don’t need any help from entertainment reporters. Sometimes, the strategy of airing one’s own dirty laundry has worked well for some celebrities. Other times, it has made the media firestorm surrounding a celebrity scandal even more intense. Of course, there are also news outlets who will stretch the truth about a celebrity scandal, even if the famous person has explained the situation his/herself. Singer Tina Campbell is one half of the gospel duo Mary Mary (her sister Erica is the other member of the group). The two have a reality show on WEtv called Mary Mary , and Tina chose to use the platform to let the world know that her musician husband Teddy, had been unfaithful to her. Tina’s sisters revealed to her that a magazine got wind of the story initially, claiming that Teddy fathered a child with another woman. That’s when Campbell decided to take matters into her own hands and take fans on her journey to forgiveness. The show displays Tina yelling at her husband, asking him why he cheated on her, and there is even mention of her damaging his car. Tina shares that she felt it was important to show her fans that her marriage could be restored, and she didn’t want anyone else telling her story. Torrei Hart is the ex-wife of actor and comedian Kevin Hart. In 2014, she agreed to star on a reality show entitled Atlanta Exes , which chronicled the lives of women who were once in relationships with famous men. Torrei is also a comedian, but clearly hasn’t achieved the same level of fame as her ex-husband, and was hoping that the show would help with that. She also made it clear that Kevin proposed to his longtime girlfriend on the night of the show’s premier, which was rude to say the least. Torrei has been in the tabloids for her spats with Kevin, but has decided to take matters into her own hands by appearing on the show and telling part of her story herself. She and Kevin have been on good terms since then, and there are even reports that he bought her a new car as a birthday present. Torrei also made it clear during interviews for the reality show that she’s “not bitter” and has a new man in her life that gives her all the support she needs. 10. Tameka Raymond Tameka Raymond is another cast member of the Atlanta Exes reality show. She has put her dirty laundry with ex-husbandUsher, in the public air for quite some time. It’s common knowledge that Usher’s mother didn’t want him to marry Tameka, and some say that Tameka, who is older than Usher, tricked the singer into marrying her to take care of her children (which she denies). She says that Usher wasn’t faithful to her, and that she wants people to know that she hasn’t been sitting around waiting for him to come back. Even though they’ve had their share of struggles (Tameka’s son passed away after she and Usher separated, and he was a source of support for her), it looks like the former couple have put their differences aside, and are committed to being great parents to the two sons they have together. 9. Brandi Glanville Brandi Glanville is one of the chattiest characters in The Real Housewives franchise. Ever since her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian left her for singer LeAnn Rimes, Glanville hasn’t been shy about expressing her disapproval on TV and social media. She makes it plain that she doesn’t appreciate the way that Cibrian left her and their two sons, and talks about the incident on the air often. She even wrote a book about her experiences, called Drinking and Tweeting . In the book, she recalls how she found out about her husband’s affairs, and plainly states that she engages in social media feuds with Rimes. Miley Cyrus It’s no secret that Miley Cyrus loves attention, so she’s not shy about putting her business out there for the world to view. In 2013, when she was engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth, it was reported that Liam kissed actress January Jones. That, allegedly, was part of the reason that the couple split. In her song FU , Cyrus sings the lyrics “I was over it the second that I saw her name.” We’re pretty sure she was talking about the situation with Hemsworth. Since then, Miley has been in a relationship with Patrick Schwarzenegger, and even was trying to reconcile with Hemsworth for a while. There are also reports that she and Justin Bieber have flings every now and then, and Cyrus has alluded to the fact that she’s bisexual. See? Dirty laundry everywhere. 7. Selena Gomez Everyone knows that Justin Bieber was Selena Gomez’s first love. That’s probably why it’s so hard for her to let go of the fact that things didn’t work out. Bieber just couldn’t stay faithful, but reports have confirmed that he does want to marry Selena eventually once he’s done “fooling around.” Selena talked about her relationship issues with Justin in interviews, and according to reports, she is planning on writing a tell-all book to let fans know what really happened during her relationship with Bieber. Apparently, Selena is airing her dirty laundry as a way to give herself a clean slate for this new phase of her life. Whatever helps you get over a tumultuous relationship with an immature, international pop star, Selena. 6. Rihanna After the 2009 domestic dispute that shocked the music industry, Rihanna went on several interviews to talk about her disastrous relationship with singer Chris Brown. She stated that the two had arguments before, but it never got as bad as the night of the Grammys when Rihanna was severely beaten. Rihanna even stated in an interview with Oprah that although the two had broken up and Brown was legally ordered to stay away from her, she still had feelings for him and could relate to his pain. The two reconciled for a brief time (after Brown’s restraining order was up), but Chris’ relationship with Karreuche Tran, which was going on while he was dating Rihanna, finally made Rihanna realize that it was time to call it quits. 5. Kelly Osbourne Fashion designer and musician Kelly Osbourne has a pretty outgoing personality (like her mother,Sharon), so if someone makes her unhappy, she doesn’t have a problem making it known. She had plenty to say when former co-host Guiliana Rancic made inappropriate comments about singer/actressZendaya’s faux dreadlocks, and stated on social media that she didn’t approve of Rancic’s banter. Kelly is also just as vocal about her personal life. She was once engaged to Luke Worrall, but that all came to a halt when Worrall was unfaithful. Kelly Tweeted about her former fiance’s cheating ways, stating that Luke “makes her sick.” Osbourne recently got in trouble for making some comments that sounded racist against Hispanic people during her interview on The View , so she’s learning to keep quieter these days. 4.
