3. D’Banj
D’Banj A.K.A Kokomaster had his big break into the Nigerian music industry when he moved back from London with former label mate and producer extraordinaire ‘Don Jazzy’. His first major hit ‘Tongolo‘ was released in 2004, followed by his first studio album ‘No Long Thing‘ which was released in 2005 and sold out. After Eja Nla’s break into the mainstream, he has since been dropping hits back to back including his biggest hit ‘Oliver Twist‘ which got him his first international record deal with Kanye West’s Good Music. D’Banj later had to breakup with Don Jazzy and after his contract with Good Music expired, he came up with his own label ‘DB Records’ and so far he has managed to drop some couple of hits including his present single ‘Emergency‘ which is still rocking the airwaves
