6. Fikayo Tomori
Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola “Fikayo” Tomori (born 19 December 1997) is a professional footballer who plays for Chelsea FC. Tomori was born to Nigerian parents in Calgary, Canada.
Fikayo plays as a right-sided central defender or as right back. He predominantly played on the right side of central defence or at right-back through the age groups which he has mastered.
Tomori joined Chelsea at Under-8 level and progressed through the clubs academy system. His strong performances for Chelsea earned him a first-year professional contract in July 2015, which commits him to the club until the end of the 2017/18 season. He was part of the integral spine of Chelsea’s youth side which recorded back to back triumphs in both the UEFA Youth League and the FA Youth Cup in 2015 and 2016.
On 15 May 2016, in Chelsea’s final game of the 2015/16 campaign, Fikayo Tomori made his professional debut in a 1–1 draw with Premier League champions Leicester City, replacing Branislav Ivanović in the 60th minute. His season was then capped off by winning Chelsea academy player of the year award for the 2015/16 season.
Tomori has represented Canada(Country of Birth) and England(Naturalisation) at youth levels. He is still eligible to feature for Nigeria(Parents)
