9. Tosin Adarabioyo
Abdul-Nasir Oluwatosin “Tosin” Adarabioyo (born 24 September 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays for the blue side of Manchester (Manchester City). Tosin was born in Manchester, United Kingdom.
Adarabioyo plays as a centre back. He is excellent on the ball, possesses good positional awareness and leadership skills.
Adarabioyo joined the youth system at Manchester City aged five. He made his U18 debut for the club aged 14. His commanding presence on the pitch was evident, he was then named captain of the U18 aged 16 at the start of the 2014/15 campaign. Tosin never looked back from there. He became an ever-present in Man City’s 2015/16 UEFA Youth League campaign, Tosin was a key part of a stingy back line that conceded just four goals to help City to a 100% record in the group stages. Because of his steady development, Tosin was promoted to City’s Elite Development Squad set-up full-time. On 21 February 2016, Manuel Pellegrini fielded a team of youngsters in which Adarabioyo started the match. This was his first-team debut in an FA Cup match against Chelsea. Tosin never looked out of place against Chelsea’s first team players, they still lost 5-1.
Adarabioyo has represented England at the Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 levels. However, he is still eligible to switch allegiance to Nigeria due to his parental roots.
