Keeping up with Hollywood’s biggest family is hard work. As Kim Kardashian climbs the royalty ranks, she’s now the most talked-about woman in Hollywood. Wherever she goes, so does her brood. While the sisterly love on the TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians is strong (as is the E! $150 million contract the family signed to continue airing), Kim’s marriage to the rapper, Kanye West, is proving to be less steady. The two may be photographed hand-in-hand with smiles on their faces, but everyone knows that Hollywood marriages have a short shelf-life.
This family is insanely rich. In 2016, Kim famously tweeted that she was “transferring $53 million” into her and Kanye’s joint account. Considering those were one-year earnings from her Kim Kardashian Hollywood game, that’s some income. Kim can earn up to $500,000 per sponsored Instagram post, and the initial stock of her KKW Beauty line sold out in just three minutes. Kim’s horizons aren’t set on millions, they’re set on billions. She’s super-savvy at protecting her assets, and she doesn’t care if that means bringing in the lawyers. Although her marriage to Kanye seems happy on the surface and they recently welcomed their third child, divorce rumors are rife. Sources are saying there’s trouble in paradise, and Hollywood Life even suggested that a $1 billion divorce is on the way. Here are 12 signs proving that might just be the case.
12 MID-NUPTIAL DIVORCE SETTLEMENTS DO NOT SAY “HAPPY MARRIAGE”
Kim and Kanye tied the knot in 2014 in a lavish and very beautiful wedding in Paris (naturally, with a ton of celeb guests). This was Kim’s third marriage, although, she really felt she’d finally found “the one.” Nevertheless, this didn’t stop her from stipulating a strict prenup, where The Daily Mail reported that she’d get $1 million for each year she’s been married to Kanye, plus their $20 million Bel Air mansion.
This was four years ago, though. In 2017, reports surfaced that Kim had once again decided to protect her assets in a mid-nuptial agreement following Kanye’s debt troubles and his increasingly erratic behavior. An insider told Radar Online that Kim “wants it all ironed out and watertight.” Prenups are pretty standard in celeb land. What’s less frequent though, is calling the lawyers four years in—especially when the family now consists of five. Is Kim freaking out that she’ll soon be single again? Guess we’ll see…
