Some party organizers have taken extra steps to ensure that money was sprayed at the venue, amid naira scarcity in the country.
In the video, a live band was spotted singing as people kept spraying notes on them. Looking at the note closely, one can see that it was printed instead of the regular naira note.
A Nigerian man, who was at the party, Isaacfayoseoriginal, revealed on his Facebook page that the host printed money for the party so guests could spray money.
He explained that guests would transfer money electronically and get their money in the printed notes.
In his words:
“Who do us for Nigeria? Due to Naira scarcity, they printed their own party money, you do an electronic transfer, and you get the naira equivalent in the denomination you want for spraying at the party. 😔 Is spraying a must? Wahala wahala wahala.”
Reacting to the post, Elizabeth Toyin George added: “I love this move, it will stop all those selling money at exorbitant rates to cash out.”
