Super Eagles’ striker, Victor Boniface, made a heartfelt gesture by flying his grandmother to Germany to witness him play for Bayer Leverkusen, marking her first time attending one of his matches.
During the November international break, despite his stellar performance with Bayer Leverkusen this season, Victor was back in Nigeria for the Super Eagles’ matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Unfortunately, despite his impressive form, the games ended in draws with a 1-1 scoreline, leaving fans dissatisfied with the team’s overall performance.
However, amid this disappointment, Victor Boniface took the opportunity during the break to bring joy to his grandmother, sharing photos of their journey as they flew to Germany ahead of Bayer Leverkusen’s upcoming Bundesliga match.
Since joining Bayer Leverkusen from Union SG in Belgium, the 22-year-old striker has notably scored 11 goals and provided six assists in sixteen games across various competitions for the German team.
