Drew Barrymore was cast into the spotlight at a young age in the movie E.T. She eventually went on to star in other films, and she began getting involved in drugs and alcohol at a young age as well. She struggled with bipolar disorder for many years and after leaving a drug and alcohol rehab facility when she was just 14, she attempted to kill herself. Barrymore managed to get the right level of help and kicked her addictive habit, turned her life around. She has said that she would rather be like the ocean, with its soft currents rather than the highs and lows.
