Smell like fish: As a nurse who works for an OB clinic, I do want to point out a few other things. You are NEVER supposed to add food products to your vagina area! It not only off set’s your pH and causes stinky smells and irritation, but makes you prone and causes infections such as yeast infections, UTI’s and bladder infections. This is a huge Lulu NO NO!
Also, baby powder is a HUGE no, no!! It contains talcum powder which has been known to cause uterine and ovarian cancer. Also, when put on your vaginal area, can cause staff infections and yeast infections. It locks odors and bacteria’s in the crease of your vaginal area, between your thigh and vagina. Good replacement is the baking soda like she said. However, not directly on the skin or vagina but in the underwear and a very light coat.
When cleaning you never lufa or use a rag. Rags and lufa’s have bacteria all over them. When you wash your Lulu, your rubbing this on that area. Use, warm water, your hands and a mild, unscented soap or Gynecologist tested feminine wash. Vagisil White Jasmine feminine wash is great for this. It’s very delicate and light and goes great with the natural oils and bacteria’s of your vagina. It can run on the higher price side, so if you can’t afford it Dove Sensitive Skin, Unscented bar soap is a great replacement.
Also, about .98 cents a bar at Walmart or $3 for a 4 pk of bars. Clearly Naturals Unscented Pure & Natural Glycerine soap is another good alternative. This one runs about $2 a bar and can be found at Walgreens, Vitamin Cottage or Natural Grocers. Lather a good amount in your hand and wash ONLY the outside of your vagina area and around the labia and clitoris. NEVER put any kind on soap INSIDE your vagina!
