The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stormed Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital on Friday, January 30, 2015 for their Presidential Rally. The state governor and chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio welcomed the President of Nigeria and PDP presidential candidate, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and his running mate, Vice President Namadi Sambo to the state.

The campaign train arrived Uyo in the afternoon after holding a rally in the neighbouring Cross River State.
The Akwa Ibom rally, which took place at the Akwa Ibom Stadium, The Nest of Champion, which is the best in Nigeria and West Africa, turned out to be the most colourful and interesting yet held in this campaign season.
