Heath Ledger died from a drug overdose at age 28, which included the wrong combination of prescription drugs.  This lethal dose led to cardiac arrest, which made his breathing slower and eventually his heart succumbed to the impact of this dosage.  An investigation found that foul play was ruled out and those very drugs that killed him were found near his body.  It was a very sad ending to a well beloved actor.
