GENE HACKMAN
Hackman reportedly had no interest in being in a movie when he signed onto Wes Anderson’s eclectic The Royal Tenenbaums, and remorselessly expressed his rage during the entire filming process, even though the part was written specifically for him. After insulting Anderson multiple times and alienating the rest of the cast, Bill Murray was brought in on his days off as a kind of Hackman-whisperer to keep him in line.
