3. Lady Diana and Prince Charles – $48 Million

Lady Diana and Prince Charles wed in 1981 and theirs was one of the most highly anticipated royal weddings ever. It was dubbed “the wedding of the century” and was watched globally by an estimated 750 million viewers. The ceremony took place at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London and had 3,500 guests. 2 million people lined up along the streets of London to catch a glimpse of Lady Diana as she traveled in a glass coach to the cathedral. The reception only had 120 guests at Buckingham Palace following the ceremony.
