10. Rihanna Rihanna presented herself as this sweet 16-year-old from Barbados when she was first introduced to the world in 2005. But things quickly changed once the singer began work on her third studio album Good Girl Gone Bad , which would go on to sell more than 7 million copies worldwide. The 27-year-old’s entire image changed following the release with the edgy new album. A new hairstyle, a complete different sound, a new image, and a shockingly new attitude. Rihanna would go on to do daring things, such as pose naked for magazines, glamorize smoking weed via her social media sites, while often being linked to bullying other women, i.e Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. The 2005 version of Rihanna would’ve never done that, right?

9. Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus was everybody’s favorite singing teen sensation after she landed the role of Hannah Montana in 2006. The show made Miley a worldwide superstar, and movies were quickly rolling in for the 22-year-old, who came across as one of the most well-behaved teens in Hollywood. But it didn’t take long for all of that to change. As she prepped for the release of her studio album, Bangerz , Miley showcased an entire new image that was so raunchy, parents were fuming that Cyrus would all of a sudden go from good girl to bad, shoving the raunchiness down children’s throats. Her infamous performance at the VMAs in 2013 quickly went viral, and it was certain at that point that the Miley people once knew and loved, had disappeared.

Lohan was alleged to have formed a drug addiction, her partying ways were so crazy, she would often miss shooting scenes for a movie. Now, Lohan is struggling to make the paychecks that she once saw, and from what reports have said over the months, Lindsay is still not 100% clean.

Following the success of the film, Taylor’s good girl image struggled to keep up, and it didn’t take long before the heavy eyeliner and eye-shadow were applied to the face, branding herself with an entirely new attitude. Taylor landed herself her reprising role on Gossip Girl , and while her character’s style was completely different from her own in real life, the 22-year-old always made sure that the looks provided by the production team weren’t permanent.

Narcotics, weed and alcohol, were said to have played a part in Amanda’s downfall — even her parents couldn’t control their daughter’s behavior, it was that bad. Bynes would go on to check into a rehab facility, and is reportedly doing much better now. But one should note that she has allegedly been to rehab on multiple occasions before, and it never worked. Hopefully, this time it will work.

While she was a tough little girl to raise, Amy always put people before herself — she cared so much about other people’s feelings that she hated the idea of ever letting people down. 2003 was a great year for Winehouse, who signed a $500,000 record deal that saw the songstress pen the album Frank , all by herself. The album was a success, but by the time that Amy began work on Back to Black , her appearance had drastically changed. The soul-jazz singer faced a shocking drug addiction, it was so bad that her parents had even feared for her life. She wouldn’t eat, and made drugs and alcohol part of her daily regimen. In the end, alcohol got the better of her and took her life.

Her successful run in the industry would last till 2006, before the singer would start spiraling out of control, to the point where family members couldn’t even help her. The constant break-ups with ex-husband, Kevin Federline, took a toll on Brit, who turned to partying in hopes that she would feel better that way. Following several meltdown and severe depression modes, Spears went on to shave her head and perform an odd routine of Gimme More, at the 2007 VMAs. This girl was no longer good in anybody’s eyes — singing wise and as a role model.

Following an on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber, along with reports alleging that JB had often cheated on her, Selena turned into an unrecognizable person when she formed an addiction to Xanax. Furthermore, several reports claimed that the songstress also struggled with alcohol and other prescription drugs, which eventually saw her check into rehab for a measly two weeks. She broke the program off because she felt it was unnecessary, but then again, what addict doesn’t deny their wrongdoings? They all do.
