Celebrities that have killed people : Famous personalities often find themselves involved in some sort of strange, weird headline. From drugs to DUIs, rape etc, there’s no shortage of all those crimes. But, one thing that’s not all too common is murder.

Somehow, this does not surprise us. Being a hardcore gangster since his teenage years, Snoop Dogg and his body guard faced murder charges back in 1995. Eventually, however, the court would drop the charges. But it took Snoop and his lawyers from the Johnnie L. Cochran, Jr. Law firm who represented him almost half a decade to get him cleared. The former Prison Break star has gained more attention for killing a teenager than his acting career ever got him. Garrison was 27 at the time of his crime. He attended a high school party and offered to drive two teenagers home even though he had been drinking. Garrison’s vehicle slammed into a tree and 17 year old Vahagn Setian was killed. Garrison was sentenced to 40 months in prison but only served half his term.

Brandy

In December of 2006 Brandy was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles on the 405 Freeway. According to Police Brandy was going approximately 65mph and did not notice traffic had slowed down in front of her. The singer/actor rear-ended 38 year old Awatef Aboudihaj. The mother of 2 was rushed to L.A. Holy Cross Hospital but did not survive her injuries. Huffington Post reports Brandy was not charged in the incident. Rick Springfield

While not caught or charged legally, the “Jessie’s Girl” singer confessed back in 2010 that he killed someone in Vietnam when he was 17 years old.

Tupac

Regarded as one of the best MCs of all time, Tupac Shakur’s history of violence isn’t new. But unlike many gangsters, Tupac would earn his stripes and reputation after shooting 2 off-duty police officers. Though the court dismissed the charges later on, the incident would end up helping Tupac’s career. From then on, the number of people following his career closely and calling him “a rebel with a cause” would just increase. Granted, Halle did not actually kill anyone, but I feel like this is close to worst. Which is why she gets a dishonorable mention on this list. Halle was responsible for hitting a person with her car. The young woman lived but was in the hospital for a while. But here is the nasty bit: after she hit this woman, Halle rushed away from the scene in the wee hours of the night. She claims not to remember the accident, Berry later turned up at a hospital where she reported the accident to police and received 22 stitches for a gash on her forehead, according to People magazine. The actress, who pleaded no contest, was sentenced to 250 hours of community service, which she fulfilled by volunteering at a battered women’s shelter, and three years’ probation, according to the Associated Press. Oscar Pistorious

On February 13, 2013 Oscar Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in his home in Petoria, South Africa. Pistorius shot Steenkamp through the bathroom door of his home alleging that he mistaken her as in intruder. See Also: The top 15 celebrities with ugly spouses (+Photos)

On September 12, 2014 Pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide and one firearm-related charge, of reckless endangerment related to discharging a firearm in a restaurant. On 21 October 2014, Pistorius received a prison sentence of a maximum of five years for culpable homicide and a concurrent three year suspended prison sentence for the separate reckless endangerment conviction

Bruce Jenner

Olympic champion and Kardashian patriarch Bruce Jenner was involved in a fatal car accident on the Malibu stretch of PCH in February 2015. According to eyewitnesses, Jenner’s SUV rear ended a white car and sent it careening into oncoming traffic. It was then struck by a Hummer. The driver of the white car was killed, and seven others sustained injuries. Bruce was not hurt in the wreck.

Police say that Jenner voluntarily submitted to have his blood drawn for a blood alcohol test and that he was not speeding at the time. After passing a field sobriety test, h e initially claimed that he was being chased by the paparazzi, but police do not believe that to be true.

OJ Simpson

O.J. Simpson was arrested and charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman. Though he was eventually found not guilty, many believe that Simpson literally got away with murder.

Laura Bush

Former First Lady Of The United States and wif of George W. Bush, At the age of 17, was driving with a friend. Laura ran a stop sign and crashed into another car which instantly killed her classmate Michael Dutton Douglas.

This tragic accident caused her to lose her faith and question God.

Rebecca Gayheart

In 2001, The model was convicted of vehicular manslaughter when she hit and killed a 9 year old boy with her car. Gayheart, who was on her cell phone at the time, didn’t see the boy as he crossed the street and she struck him resulting in his death.

Matthew Broderick

Back in 1987, the actor was part of a driving accident that would end up killing the other car’s driver and passenger. Not really murder, but you can’t deny that this innocent face has blood on his hands. Jayson Williams

Jayson Williams, a former NBA Player / All Star, served 10 years in jail for accidentally shooting his limo driver to death. Initially reporting it as a suicide, Jayson Williams’ almost $100 million dollars and top notch lawyers couldn’t help him avoid jail time. Rebecca Gayheart

Back in 2001, this beautiful model with a budding career struck and killed a 9-year-old boy. Charged with vehicular manslaughter, Gayheart’s top-notch lawyers managed to keep her away from jail – but they couldn’t keep her career from going away.

Donald King

Don King has killed not one, but two people. The first he shot in the back after the victim attempted to rob him of his gambling outfits. Years later, he killed someone again and was convicted of second-degree murder (later reduced to manslaughter) for killing someone who owed him $600. He served his sentence then immediately went back to his old boxing-promoting ways and ended up having a net worth of over $290 million.

Waca Flocka Flame

Waka Flocka Flame hasn’t really killed anyone, but someone has killed in his name. Or rather, a 22-year-old man from Florida killed someone after acting out the lyrics to one of Waka Flocka Flame’s songs. So, in a way, you could say he was responsible for the murder that 22-year-old committed. C-Murder

After an altercation at the Platinum Club in Harvey, Louisiana back in 2002, Rapper C-Murder beat and shot to death 16-year-old Steve Thomas. While the first trial set him free, a second trial had him convicted of second degree murder along with his brother, Master P. They were both sentenced to life in prison. Sid Vicious

Sid Vicious was as controversial as an individual as the band that he played for. One day, while high on heroin, he stabbed his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen, to death. Later on, he’d state that he didn’t mean to do so and that he didn’t remember killing her. Unfortunately, Sid didn’t even face a trial as he died just a few months later of heroin overdose. The producer responsible for backing legends like “The Beatles”, “The Ramones”, Ike, Tina Turner and etc was quite the psychopath. In fact, many people claimed of being held at gunpoint by Spector. Thus, when authorities found Lana Clarkson shot to death in his mansion, Spector was sent to trial. He was then sentenced to 19 years to life. Vince Neil

The Motley Crue was one of the most popular bands of its time. And, just like any other metal band, they weren’t without controversy or issues. For example, Vince Neil once drove drunk and lost control of his car, then crashed into another car, killing Dingley (drummer of Hanoi Rocks) and injuring the others with him. Neil would then receive a 30-day jail sentence and had to pay $2.6 million dollars in restitution to the victims of the crash. On top of that, Neil placed under five years probation and 200 hours of community service.

Ted Kennedy

Anyone remember the “Chappaquiddick Incident?” No? Thought so. It was the day when Ted went #yolo and drove a 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 off the Dike Bridge and into a pond. Ted would go on to swim to safety, but his passenger Ms. Mary Jo wasn’t as fortunate. Later on, Ted admitted to leaving the scene of the accident and was sentenced to two months jailtime. Convicted of second-degree murder at the tender age of 14 for shooting to death Okia Toomer, she received two 8-year sentences. She was released after almost 6.5 years at the Maryland Correctional Institute. Johnny Lewis

In 2012, “Sons of Anarchy” actor Johnny Lewis broke into the home of 81-year-old Catherine Davis, ransacked her home and then killed her (and her cat). Witnesses then saw Lewis jump over a fence, assault a neighbor and return to the Davis house. He fell or jumped from a roof and died. Lewis had been born into a Scientologist family and worked for the church’s drug rehab group Narconon. Despite a later history of drug use, an autopsy report showed that Lewis had no drugs or alcohol in his system when he died. Aaron Hernandez

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was charged with the first degree murder of his friend. The incident occurred in 2013 when Odin Lloyd was found dead in an industrial park that was just a mile away from Hernandez’s house. Michael Jace

One of the resident bad boys of the NBA, J.R Smith, drove through a stop light back in 2007. This resulted in an accident that killed a passenger in his car. After pleading guilty, Smith received a sentence of 90 days in jail, but he would go on to serve only 30. Michael Brea
