1. Malala Yousafzai
Malala Yousafzai is undoubtedly the most impressive young lady on this list. She defied the Taliban by demanding that girls in Palestine receive an education. As a result of her defiance, she was shot in the head by the Taliban in 2012, and miraculously survived. Even as a young child, Malala was an activist for girls’ education. When the Taliban caught word of this, the organization issued a death threat against her. She was shot while coming home from school, and after her recovery, Yousafzai continued to speak out about the importance of education for girls and women. In 2014, she became the youngest person in history to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. She was also nominated for the award the year before. Enough said.
