We get that Parker is French, but swapping wives is not common practice in the US . Parker and Brent Barry were teammates from 2004-2008 and were good friends. In fact, Parker and Longoria were very close with the Barry’s. “We’re like family,” Parker said when referring to the Barry’s. That is until a whole bunch of flirtatious texts were discovered between Parker and Barry’s wife, Erin. That is when both marriages simultaneously imploded and the friendships went along with it. The running back now plays for the Philadelphia Eagles after landing a huge contract. But before the NFL, Murray played at Oklahoma. There, he played with a little known athlete by the name of Brennan Clay. Clay accused Murray, who was in the process of banging out numerous OU rushing and scoring records, of having sex with his wife. Clay filed for divorce immediately after hearing the rumor. Murray denies it happened but where there’s smoke…. Clay and his wife did manage to stay together but early in 2015, Clay was arrested for spousal abuse. He apparently used his wife as a piñata, punching, kicking, grabbing and throwing her. 8. Rick Manning – Out Of Centerfield Rick Manning was a star centerfielder with the Cleveland Indians. His teammate, Dennis Eckersley, was a young starting pitcher who was still trying to find his way in the majors. That is when Rick Manning slept with Eckersley’s wife. The year was 1978 when the incident occurred. Eckersley’s wife, Denise, began having an affair with Manning. Manning wasn’t just Eckersley’s teammate, he was also his best friend . Manning’s affair with Eckersley’s wife caused an issue and one of them had to be traded. The team kept their star centerfielder and Eckersley was not only traded to another team, his wife traded him for his best friend. Denise stayed behind and left Eckersley and she and Manning eventually got married. Good news for Eck is that he went on to be one of the best closers of all time and got into the Hall of Fame while Manning turned out just a couple more good seasons before disappearing from the MLB for good. 7. Avisail Garcia – Rookie Mistake Who is Avisail Garcia? He is a young baseball player who finally broke through with the White Sox this past season. However, it’s not his on-the-field performance that is getting him mentioned. Garcia used to be a Detroit Tiger. That’s when he ran into their star first baseman Prince Fielder’s wife. Garcia broke the cardinal rule and slept with Fielder’s wife. Fielder subsequently nosedived statistically and there was a brawl in the clubhouse involving Garcia and team leader Miguel Cabrera who was sticking up for Fielder. Garcia was quickly dealt once management heard of the disaster he created. The team did terribly and Fielder was also dealt so that the team could hit the reset button. 6. Paul Terry – Cheating Leads To Friend’s Suicide John Terry’s brother, Paul, is also a soccer player and he, too, is a big cheater. While playing for Rushden and Diamonds, Terry briefly lived with teammate Dale Roberts. Roberts was engaged to Lindsey Cowan. During the course of staying with the couple, Terry thought he’d make himself at home and began to carry on an affair with Cowan. Roberts, who was depressed and recovering from an injury, couldn’t believe the news when he heard it. Combined with the anti-depressants he was taking, the news proved to be too much for him. Roberts committed suicide over the shame of having to face the affair of his fiancé sleeping with his friend and teammate. This tragic tale has no happy ending. 5. Pavel Bure – Russian Rocket Pavel Bure and Sergei Fedorov were dynamic Russian teammates on the Soviet team. In the United States, they were hockey stars for their respective teams. Fedorov was able to land super hottie and tennis seductress Anna Kournikova who was known far more for her looks than her playing ability. The above-average tennis player was carrying on a relationship with Fedorov and had in fact had just gotten married to him when she was mounted by another Russian hockey star, Pavel Bure. Bure sleeping with Kournikova ended Fedorov’s marriage and he walked away from the whole mess. Bure and Kournikova’s affair proved to be short-lived as the press blew up the incident. 4. Jason Richardson – Baby Daddy Jason Richardson was a solid all-around talent in the NBA. During his prime, he was an effective player on nearly every team he played for. While playing for the Phoenix Suns, Richardson slept with the team’s star point guard Steve Nash‘s wife. Probably one of the dumber decisions Richardson could make, the team obviously struggled and looked terrible as news of the affair came to light. What was crazier is that Steve Nash filed for divorce just one day after his wife had a baby which he thought was his. But when it came out a bit darker skinned than Nash was expecting, anger and accusations began. That is when papers were filed for divorce and the truth was revealed. Right after the team found out Richardson had shagged its franchise player’s wife, he was shipped out of town. Eesh. 3. Wayne Carey – Australian Rules Wayne Carey isn’t exactly known for being classy. The Australian Rules footballer slept with his teammate’s wife in the bathroom during a team party. Carey was teammates with Anthony Stevens during their 12 years of playing together for North Melbourne. Stevens’ wife had been carrying on an affair with Carey for a while and was seemingly looking to initiate a wife swap. Carey was quickly shipped away after the scandal came to light.
