3. Man Dies Of Bubonic Plague
Okay, you said someone died of what now? The Bubonic Plague? That was over centuries ago. Right? Well yes and no. While the case that I am writing about specifically happened in Utah, there have been 4 deaths from the plague this year. The plague was the cause of the infamous “Black Death” that killed more than 50 million people in the 14th century. To put that in perspective, it killed off half of Europe. While it is mostly over with of course, the Center for Disease Control says that around 7 people get it a year, mostly from fleas from animals.
