Expensive Universities: In the US, you need to have at least $36,500 (according to a 2014 study by HSBC) annually to study in a private college and to cover your expenses for the whole year. Quadruple that amount and you must have more or less $150,000 just to finish a four-year degree. Built in 1890 in Chicago, Illinois, this private research university has proven that its steep tuition fee is equated with the quality of education that students are given. The University of Chicago has produced 87 alumni and staff who are Nobel Prize laureates, mostly under the field of science such as chemistry, physics, and medicine. President Barack Obama, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, also taught at this University under their Law School.
