According to a source, Napoli is considering Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen if the Nigerian international departs from the Serie A champions this season.
Osimhen is attracting interest from several top European clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain, for a potential transfer during the summer window.
In search of a suitable replacement, Napoli has turned their attention to Balogun. The young striker had an impressive loan spell at Stade Reims in the French Ligue 1, scoring 21 goals and providing three assists across various competitions this season.
With Arsenal already having Gabriel Jesus in their squad, it is speculated that they may bring in a new striker during the summer. This could potentially open the door for Balogun, who is valued at £30 million, to make a move.
However, replacing Osimhen, who has contributed 30 goals and five assists in 38 matches for Napoli, would undoubtedly be a challenging task for any player.
