Abisi Emmanuel Ezechukwu, popularly known as Nasty Blaq, a skit maker and content creator, has expressed his frustration with Nigerians who quickly label skit makers who buy expensive cars as fraudsters or ritualists.
Nasty Blaq argued that fans enjoy the skits created by these artists but do not want them to enjoy their own lives in luxury.
He also accused fans of being biased, pointing out that they congratulate musicians who acquire expensive cars but criticize skit makers when they do the same.
In a post on his Instagram Story, Nasty Blaq wrote: “Sometimes I feel like some fans just want us to bring them joy without experiencing joy in our own lives. I don’t understand how someone can do skits for over 5 years and finally buy a car, and you open your mouth to say it’s ritual or fraud.”
He further highlighted the double standards, stating, “Seyi Vibez hasn’t even been in the industry for a year, and he has already bought a house/car, and everybody congratulates him. But when a skit maker does the same thing in 3-4 years, you say it’s fraud and ritual.”
