“Never been this afraid of my country” – Comedian AY’s wife, Mabel Makun cries out

Mabel Makun, the wife of popular Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun popularly known as AY, has bemoaned the current state of things in the country.

The mother of two took to her verified Instagram page to lament over the exchange rate, which she noted is killing businesses. Mabel expressed how tired she is of increasing prices as business is now draining.

The businesswoman noted how an average common man can no longer afford a loaf of bread and how parents withdraw their kids from schools for home tutors.

Mabel further lamented how life’s basic needs are now luxury and everything is high.

She wrote:

“Never been this afraid for my country, Nigeria.
Exchange rate is killing businesses.
We are tired of increasing prices!
Business is now draining! An average common man can no longer afford a loaf of bread.
Parents withdrawing their kids from schools for home tutors.
Basic needs are now luxury!
Everything is high. affordability has suddenly become Fiction!
What is the way out?”.
