Anuoluwapo Waziri is a Nigerian woman who married a blind man, Tomi Waziri, three years ago.
In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng, Anuoluwapo shared her story of love, resilience, and family life with her husband.
Tomi Waziri lost his sight in a tragic incident involving armed robbers. Anuoluwapo chose to marry Tomi despite his blindness, and they have been together ever since.
The couple have two beautiful children together.
Speaking about how she cope with being married to a blind man, the woman said that she does not “cope” with her husband’s blindness; she loves and supports him.
She chose to embark on a path of unwavering support and companionship, embracing their future together with unyielding determination.
“I don’t cope with him; I love and support him,” Anuoluwapo Waziri expressed with heartfelt sincerity. “We go everywhere together. When we are walking, he places his left hand on my right shoulder. The only thing I ‘cope’ with is when a sidewalk or aisle gets narrow.”
Despite the challenges posed by Tomi’s blindness, Anuoluwapo’s love for him never wavered.
She described their life together as wonderful and full of shared experiences. Their love for each other grew even stronger with the arrival of their two children.
As a family of four, they faced the challenges of parenthood with grace and gratitude.
When asked about balancing motherhood and supporting her blind husband, Anuoluwapo said itd been wonderful and she is grateful for the stress of taking care of her children.
“It’s been wonderful; I mean, God blessed me with beautiful kids,” Mrs. Waziri said with a warm smile. “Even though it can be stressful taking care of children, I am grateful for the stress.”
“It has been a wonderful experience,” Anuoluwapo added with a touch of pride in her voice. “I am so happy we have inspired a lot of people with our story.”
