LISA “LEFT EYE” LOPES

As one-third of TLC, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was a household name. TLC became the highest-selling girl group of all time but like most groups, there was tension between the members and after the group’s third album, Left Eye was ready to fly solo. She challenged Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas to each put out solo albums and let the fans decide the winner. Taking a sabbatical from music, Left Eye went on a trip to Honduras. While there, she was killed in a car accident after she swerved to avoid hitting another car. Her last moments on earth were caught on video. Lopes was 30 years old when she died.
