NASS Crisis – The crisis in the National Assembly over leadership in the chambers continues, with some insisting that it is time for President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene.

However, Bello El-Rufai, son of Kaduna state governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, explains what will happen if Buhari tries to resolve the conflict. He believes that as soon as the president steps in, he will be accused of returning to his style of ruling as the military head of state.
The dilemma for President Muhammadu Buhari is that his involvement in NASS will bring back false accusation of his dictatorial tendency.

It should be noted that during the presidential campaign it took Buhari serious effort to assure Nigerians that he was a converted democrat. Many feared that with his emergence as Nigeria’s president, the APC politician would get the country back to dictatorship.
Buhari should never be seen taking sides in this brawl. He should face those tasks that don't require NASS consent for now.
