3. Your Goals, Your Decisions
Thomas Edison could have given up when he was told that he was too dumb to do anything of note. The Hurricane could have given up when he was sentenced to life for what he insisted was wrongful arrest. These people didn’t listen to others; they knew that it was their goals, and thus they and to take control of matters. They couldn’t afford to listen to others. Listening to others would have sent Thomas Edison into a menial job, and it would have meant The Hurricane was never released. But they fought because they they were determined to succeed and believed in themselves.
