9. Nelly
Having dominated the charts in the early 2000s with hits including Dilemma and My Place, it is shocking to know that Nelly can no longer produce chart-topping hits the way he used to. The rapper released his last album M.O back in 2013, and the fact that the record only sold 13,000 copies in its first-week, makes it very apparent just how much of an appeal the 40-year-old has with the new generation. None. Nelly plans on going independent for his next album, but what’s the point? If only 13,000 copies were sold in the first week for the last one, one can only imagine how much the next one will sell seeing that it will be independently released without a record label’s backing.
