2. Malala Yousafzai, 18
She is 17, she is from Pakistan, and she is a globally-recognized Nobel Peace Laureate. She is Malala Yousafzai, and even if we can’t pronounce her name, we know about her. She stood up to the Taliban and was shot by them while attending school in her native country. She recovered and continues to fight for women’s rights and education. She recently spoke at a conference in Denver, USA and has devoted her life to her passion: learning. A bullet to the head was unable to deter her, and The Malala Fund continues to rake in investments and profits for supporting women’s educational pursuits.
