Michelle Obama is also a big supporter of the LGBT community. She is a mother, a wife, a mentor and the first lady of the United States of America, which is why she made this list. Michelle Obama is a class act and was a wonderful first lady and is a great influence and role model to women everywhere.

9. Kate Middleton Kate Middleton is a picture perfect princess and her squeaky-clean reputation and adorable demeanor are just some of the reasons why she is a great role model. She has already been crowned the “princess of the people” very similar to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana. She is poised and intelligent and her ladylike and classic manners make her a dying breed. She is also extremely educated and uses her intelligence to fuel her passion for philanthropy. This real life princess is going to make an incredible Queen one day and we believe that Prince William made the right choice.

8. Pink Pink is a badass, independent woman who has been in the industry for years. Pink has always managed to stay out of trouble and has always been her own person. She is extremely encouraging to young women and empowers them to think outside the box. Pink promotes women using their minds instead of their bodies to get through life and she has implemented this message through her music, like the song “Stupid Girls.” Pink is one of those celebrities who has always been true to herself and the mother of one has consecutively managed to release hit after hit, demonstrating to the world that you don’t need to fit into a box to find success.

She is young, talented and grounded and is an incredible role model for young women everywhere.

6. Taylor Swift Taylor Swift is a world-renowned superstar and unlike most stars of her age and caliber, Taylor Swift is one of the best influences on our youth. Although she gets a lot of grief for dating a lot, T-Swift is a 25-year-old woman who is going to date. Famous or not, girls her age date a lot. She is known around the show business world as being polite and having good manners, giving off that perfect girl-next-door vibe. Not only is she known as having a nice demeanor, she is also extremely involved in numerous charities. Love her or hate you, you can’t deny that this super star is as down to earth as they come.

5. Jennifer Lawrence It is hard to find someone in the world that doesn’t adore Jennifer Lawrence. She is gorgeous to look at; she has an incredible personality and awesome wit. Jennifer Lawrence is a great role model for girls because she promotes being a “real girl.” The world of Hollywood often portrays women as these “perfect” beings (esthetically speaking of course). More influential people should follow in Oprah’s footsteps, she is a woman who fights for what she believes in and sees the good in both god and his creations.

This talented, educated and articulate woman is the kind of person our generation should be admiring. She has done so much good already and she is only just beginning.

Ellen is the kind of person who has the ability of inspiring people through her kind heart and vivacious personality. The world needs more people like Ellen DeGeneres, she is by far one of the best influences that Hollywood has to offer.
