1. There Were Warnings of the Iceberg That Went Unheeded
On the fateful night of the crash, the ship was sent a message that warned them of the iceberg. It was not marked specifically for the captain, so it is possible that he did not see it. The iceberg was not a large one, but it is also conceivable that it was mostly underwater, but not so much above sea level. The water was also very calm, so it was difficult to see the iceberg, as well.
