4. Bette Midler and Ariana Grande
Bette Midler, a famous and successful actress and singer, took to Twitter to lay down her thoughts on the 21-year-old pop starAriana Grande. Midler decided to post a series of sexist tweets:
“You don’t have to make a whore out of yourself to get ahead” and “She does have a beautiful voice, on a couch or off.”
Gee. That is pretty brutal. Ariana handled it well saying that she had thought Milder was a feminist who “stood for women being able to do whatever the f*k they wanted without judgment!”
Midler apologized and all was forgotten.
3. Conan O’Brien
Conan O’Brien is a fantastic comedian, so you can imagine his mindset when he took to Twitter with a funny quip about Madeleine Albright.
“I picked out my Halloween costume. I’m going as Slutty Madeleine Albright.”
How entertaining, O’Brien. I bet he didn’t expect the response from Albright though:
“I’m considering going as hunky Conan O’Brien- but that might be too far fetched.”
Oh! The former secretary of state was no match for O’Brien and with a few more tweets, social media declared Albright the winner. O’Brien realized this and blasted: “Yes–my first Twitter war with a former Secretary of State! You’re next, George P. Shultz!”
Thankful, it was all in good fun, unlike pretty much every other Twitter war.
