5. Swimfan
The 2002 film, Swimfan, was very much like a modern day Fatal Attraction in its storyline, since it featured the fanatic obsession that turned a simple romance film into a psychotic thriller. The cast left a little to be desired, since many of the young actors didn’t have too much on their resume in terms of big budget Hollywood films. In fact, the lead actors, Erika Christensen and Jesse Bradford, have become pretty much forgotten by today’s standards. Yet, it wasn’t because of a lack of onscreen chemistry. When the two meet up for a simple dinner date, things quickly take a turn when Christensen’s character entices Bradford’s character into the pool. Flirting turned into a hot sex romp in the pool, although it was a tryst that was deeply regretted. She may have been completely psychotic, but she sure looked hot as the seductress determined to get her man while splashing around in the pool.
