9. Trump Parc, New York City
Well, if you ever wondered what it was like to live under Trump’s landlordship, here is a story for ya. Back in 1981, Trump bought two buildings overlooking Central Park, hoping to demolish them and build a shiny new skyscraper. There was one problem. The tenants that sued Trump for letting the buildings fall in disrepair.
After some suing and back and forth with the tenants, Trump scrapped his skyscraper plans and converted the buildings into condos. Today their net value is $88 million. And he owns 11,750 square feet of condos; 14,963 square feet of retail; and 13,108 square feet of garage space there.
Trump’s son Eric lives in the Trump Parc, so if you want the man as your president and landlord, be also ready to be a good neighbor to his family.
