2. Loss of Libido
A loss of libido refers to a low sex drive or a lack of sexual desire. This condition can often cause problems in a relationship and seems to be present in all age groups of women, ranging from 16 to well into their menopausal years.
WebMD reports that some of the most common causes of a low libido in women include stress from a job, peer pressure, low testosterone levels, health conditions, age, and also medication that interferes with their sexual health.
Mirror UK also reports findings of a recent survey. They report that the survey found women in their 20s to be the most confident in bed and have the highest scores of sexual desires. They also report that women claim the years between the ages of 41 and 45 to be some of the worst years for sex due to pre-menopausal symptoms starting to develop.
A recent report published on Medscape also revealed that the most common problem among women is a loss of sexual desire, with 22 percent of women claiming to have a low sex drive. Furthermore, they report that women between the ages of 20 and 49 who are surgically menopausal seem to be at a higher risk of suffering from a low libido when compared to pre-menopausal women.
Surgically menopausal women, regardless of age, had a 26 percent prevalence rate of this sex problem, while only 14 percent of pre-menopausal reported the problem.
