#4. Johan Cruyff
When it comes to naming the world’s greatest players of all time, Johan Cruyff can’t miss the list. The Dutch icon was part of what become to be known as Total Football during the 1970s. Cruyff racked up more than 500 appearances throughout his career at club level, scoring 290 goals. He won the Ballon d’Or three times among many other trophies. Yet, Cruyff never managed to win a major international trophy.
