10) Keith Gillespie (British)
Keith Gillespie was once a member of Manchester United’s golden generation. He played alongside Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and Paul Scholes when they won the Youth Cup in 1992. Later on Keith won 80 caps for Northern Ireland and helped Newcastle reach the Champions League. In spite of all his success, he was declared bankrupt when he was 35 years of age. He lost around £7,215,875 on gambling, property and failed business schemes. He published the book How Not To Be A Football Millionaire in 2014.
