7. Didn’t Win For “Touch the Sky,” Publicly Disagrees
It seems as though West has an issue with stages and microphones. In 2006, after winning Best Hip Hop Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards, West still found a reason a way to make other people miserable.
After losing Best Video to Justice and Simian for “We Are Your Friends,” West stormed the stage and let everybody know that he should have won because “it cost a million dollars….I was jumping across canyons.”
The video West was so proud of was for his song “Touch the Sky.” The video is, in fact, impressive and clearly a lot of skill and hard work went into making it. Still, West was too caught up in his own small bubble of reality to be anything close to humble.
