Perhaps it’s because each photo like and link share leads to hundreds of thousands of dollars in their pocket, so they’ll do whatever it takes to maintain the spotlight. Perhaps most celebrities just simply are that needy and can’t stand not to be at the center of everyone’s world. It seems that all press is good press, whether it be about clearly staged Twitter wars, naked selfies, or even gag-worthy performances- likability definitely isn’t an issue. In their minds, if we’re talking about them, then they’re certainly doing something right. Lady Gaga Gets Puked On We’ve all seen what Lady Gaga is capable of, always managing to make the headlines with her artistic and slightly disturbing sense of fashion. Even worse than her dress made of non perishable meat or her entrance to the Grammy’s being carried inside an enormous Easter egg, she had a woman vomit on her several times during her performance at South by Southwest. Millie Brown, a vomit artist (which, yes, apparently is a thing) ingested a bright green liquid on stage before sticking her fingers down her throat and puking on Lady Gaga’s chest. Not only was the statement intended by this act unclear, but her performance also received negative reactions from fans and celebrities all over the country, accusing Gaga of glamorizing eating disorders. 12. Madonna Hates on Drake Remember that time Madonna tried to rap? She may have once been the queen of pop, but lately she seems to be more like the queen of age inappropriate antics in attempt to stay relevant. Does she not realize that she’s friggin’ Madonna and that these attention-seeking maneuvers aren’t necessary? Apparently not, since just last year she stuck her tongue in Drake’s mouth during a performance, which resulted in backlash from the public over their age difference and the apparent look of disgust on his face after the several painfully long moments of tonguing concluded. Madonna seemed to believe these rumors, as she went public with her regret over the kiss, saying Drake kissed like a girl. Whatever that means. 11. Kanye West for President We all know who Kanye West thinks is the greatest female entertainer of all time, but do we know what could be considered his craziest attention seeking moment? With so many instances to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one. After he infamously interrupted Mike Myers on live television to accuse thenPresident Bush of hating black people and later interruptedTaylor Swift’s acceptance speech to give props to his buddyBeyonce, it seemed unlikely that he could do or say anything that would further shock the public. But we were wrong. Kanye shocked us all when he announced at the VMAs his plans to run for president in 2020. We all might brush this off and assume he won’t actually run but didn’t we think that when Donald Trump threatened us with his candidacy? Miley Cyrus Serenades an Inflatable Dog When Miley’s not twerking on one of her back-up dancers in a glittered thong and flashing us her lady parts, she’s coming up with new, hyper-sexual ways to get our attention. While her frequently worn nipple bra and prosthetic penis accessories are high on her list of things done for attention, they just aren’t the craziest. At a recent London concert she made an entrance coming down a slide portraying her own tongue, coming out of an enormous photo of her own face. If that wasn’t crazy enough, she later performed alongside an enormous inflatable replica of her deceased dog, Floyd. 9. Shia LaBeouf Gets Artsy Back when Shia LaBeouf was in the press on a regular basis, he was known for making appearances with a paper bag on his head with “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE” written across it. He started wearing it right after he was accused of copying content out of a graphic novel for a short film he created. After repeatedly apologizing on Twitter, strangely using content he copy/pasted from Yahoo, he decided to put on a gallery show titled #IAmSorry to honor the incident. The exhibit consisted of LaBeouf wearing his paper bag mask, refusing to speak. One person was allowed in at a time, given the opportunity to pick up a selection of objects including chocolate kisses, a leather whip, daisies, pliers, and a copy of the graphic novel he was accused of copying, The Death-Ray by Daniel Clowes. Ironically, the exhibit strongly resembled artist Marina Abramovic’s installation The Artist is Present where she sat across from strangers without speaking, repeating LaBeouf’s habit of stealing from another artist. 8. Mariah Carey Rides the Subway

When Mariah Carey is out to capture the public’s attention, she surely doesn’t hold back. Crowned the biggest diva of them all, Carey has done everything to stay in the spotlight from creating a scene at the presidential inauguration to instigating cat fights on live television. Since social media is a large part of marketing these days, it should be no surprise that Mariah decided to hop on the subway in New York for a photo-op, looking, by the way, like she was coming home from senior prom. Amanda Bynes may have disappeared from the spotlight this past year or so, but before that it seemed she’d do just about anything to make headlines. It was around the time that her bizarre behavior got her kicked out of several gyms and clothing stores that the public began to worry. Rumors spread that she was having drug abuse and mental health problems, but she really topped off her career when she accused her father of sexual abuse in a series of poorly thought out tweets. When James Franco makes headlines, he always makes them by being his hilarious self. Over the years his most notable attention seeking moments have always been dressing in drag, which he did successfully while hosting the Oscars and even on the cover of Candy magazine. As Franco has tried his hand at art on many occasions and considers himself an artist, his work often depicts himself dressed as a woman. While he’s been criticized relentlessly for his unusual photographs and paintings, it hasn’t prevented him from throwing on a bra and a wig every once in awhile. We’ve all heard rumors of Nicki Minaj’s diva antics, and most recently her behavior on the set of her new movie, Barbershop: The Next Cut has hit the news. Apparently not just anyone can stand on the same side of the room as her. But even that doesn’t top the stunt she pulled at the VMAs, calling out host Miley Cyrus for something she supposedly said about Minaj in the press several days earlier. While Cyrus did her best to keep her cool on live television, it was all everyone was talking about over the next few days. Whether this was a pure diva moment or a premeditated marketing stunt, Minaj certainly got the attention she was looking for. 4. Kim Kardashian Takes it All Off… Again

Justin might be staying out of trouble with the law, but he’s still using his exhaustion as an excuse to walk off stage and basically be a complete jerk. Bieber made this clear by going up to the camera aggressively, saying, “Next time I won’t dance because the camera’s right here the whole time.” Seems like Mr. Bieber doesn’t quite understand how filming a TV show works. 2. Rihanna Gets Rude No one is ruder on social media than Rihanna, and apparently she doesn’t reserve her nonsense for just her celebrity rivals. A sixteen-year-old girl posted a photo in her prom outfit, a dress similar to one Rihanna wore to an award show in Berlin in 2010. The singer went so far as to place side-by-side images of the two, inspiring comments such as “The Dark Thot Rises” and “#PromBat.” The poor teenager was highly offended, and the press was in shock that Rihanna would treat her fans like that. Not only did Donald Trump threaten for years to run for president, but he also came through on this threat. As the world continues to await his admission that this is all a massive prank that got out of control, Trump completely deserves the top position for craziest attention-seeking behavior.
