Back before the Kardashian/Jenner clan took over the world, Paris Hilton was the queen of reality television, and Kim Kardashian was her personal assistant. They went to pre-school together, so there’s a lot of history here. Then, the sex tape heard round the world was leaked, propelling Kim Kardashian to new heights of fame in a way that Paris Hilton hadn’t been.
While Paris Hilton had her own tape that rocked the world in its own way and gave her access to new levels of fame, Kim Kardashian managed to turn her sex tape into an empire that now includes every member of her family, who have major careers of their own. However, Kim Kardashian wouldn’t be where she is without Paris Hilton going before her, and Paris Hilton knows it. When she was asked about her role in paving the way for today’s reality stars, including Kim Kardashian, Paris’s response was perfect in its shadiness.
“We’ve known each other since we were little girls, we’ve always been friends. It’s nice to inspire people, so yeah, I’m really proud of her and what she’s done though.”
It’s the perfect response, and it reaches heights of shade that people didn’t think Paris Hilton was even capable of. As of now, the feud has mostly died down, but when it comes to reality TV, the game can change at the drop of a hat.
