10. Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato has been in and out of the Hollywood spotlight for a plethora of reasons. One day she’s posing for an impromptu nude photoshoot, the next day, she’s in the news for health problems. Regardless of what it is, Lovato is always within the cusp of the media. However, her most notable attention grab as of recently was for calling out none other than Swift during singer Kesha‘s legal battle with Hollywood producer Dr. Luke. In February of 2016, the New York Supreme Court ruled that Kesha must stay under contract with the producer despite the allegations of r*pe and abuse against him filed by Kesha.
Many celebrities, male and female, came out and spoke their mind and protest against the ruling – however, Swift, who is a self-proclaimed feminist, didn’t have anything to say. As a result, Lovato decided to take to Twitter to send a jab Swift’s way – Lovato Tweeted “I’m also ready for self-proclaimed feminists to start speaking out or taking actions for women’s rights.”
Shortly after this, Swift made a very generous donation to help out with Kesha’s legal fees; however, Lovato was still not impressed. She took to Twitter yet again, saying, “Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I’ll be impressed.” Lovato later Tweeted (and then deleted these Tweets) saying that she wasn’t trying to throw any shade at Swift. However, we all know that’s definitely what she was trying to do. After the recent blowout between Kim Kardashian and Swift, Lovato liked one of Kardashian’s Tweet, which was obviously her way of taking sides and showing that she’s still not a fan of Swift.
