A new development has emerged in the tragic death of Whitney Adeniran, a student at Chrisland Schools Opebi in Lagos, as witness Ademoye Adewale has challenged the initial autopsy findings.
Adewale, a cotton candy vendor who was present during the school’s sports activities, has raised doubts about the reported cause of death being electrocution.
During a court hearing, Adewale strongly asserted that he had never encountered any electrocution incidents with his equipment and that there were no exposed wires in the vicinity where the incident took place.
His testimony contradicts the findings stated in the autopsy report. As a result of this testimony, the hearing was adjourned until May 22 to allow for further proceedings in this case.
It should be noted that Whitney Adeniran tragically lost her life a few months ago due to alleged negligence by the school during an inter-house sports event.
